I got there about 15 minutes earlier than you, so was probably slightly ahead in the "assembly area".
Someone next to me spoke to her husband (at home watching on TV) on the phone at about 2ish -- apparently at that point, the front of the march had already reached Parliament Square. So the reason we weren't moving was that it was solid people between us and there.
